Fried Flat Rice Noodles with Tofu or Chicken and Vegetables (Kwitiaow Raad Naa)

Friday September 15, 2006
Thai Fried Flat Rice Noodles If you like trying different types of noodles, here is a dish for you. Inherited from the famous Chinese dish: "Chow Fun Noodles", this Fried Rice Noodle Recipe calls for the same creamy-fresh rice noodles, but includes Thai ingredients like galangal (or ginger as a substitute), fish sauce, and fresh Thai or sweet basil. And it can be made vegetarian with tofu, or with chicken for non-vegetarians. So pick up a package of fresh flat rice noodles at your local Asian grocery store or market today. With its mild and savory sauce, this dish is comfort food at its Asian best! (photo by D.Schmidt)
