Quick & Easy Tapioca Pudding Recipe! When buying tapioca, I find the Asian pearl tapioca easier to use than our so-called "minute" tapioca (which, ironically, seems to take much longer to cook). You can buy pearl tapioca very cheaply at any Asian grocery store. Simply soak the tapioca for 20 minutes, then boil for 10 - that's all the cooking that's required. Add a topping of coconut milk and syrup, and voila! - an incredibly easy dessert that tastes as exotic as it does delicious. While it can be served cold during hot weather, now that the temperatures are dipping down, I find I prefer it served warm right out of the pot. (photo by D. Schmidt)
