If you've ever bought some fried bananas, or Goreng Pisang, from a street hawker in Thailand or a surrounding Southeast-Asian country, you know what I mean when I say there's just nothing so absolutely scrumptious. Unfortunately, fried bananas are easy to make badly, and hard to make well. That said, I've been working on my own Thai Fried Banana Recipe for awhile now, and think it's pretty scrumptious. By the way, I did try making fried bananas with Asian 'Raja' bananas (considered the best type for this dish), but because the bananas weren't really fresh, I got far superior results using regular bananas from my local grocery store - even my lightly-browned bananas tasted better.
