Cover with a Paper Towel + a Bowl

Cover the tofu with a paper towel (fold it into the size of your block of tofu). Then place a bowl or another fairly heavy object on top.

After above 5-10 minutes, remove the bowl and throw away the wet paper towel. Drain off the water that has been pressed out of the tofu.

Now cover once again with a fresh paper towel plus the bowl. "Press" your tofu in this way for 15 minutes (while you prepare the other ingredients for the recipe), or up to 1 hour.
